Every spring, families with sons in Japan put on samurai armor shows so that their boys grow up healthy and strong and understand the true power of the Force. This display is called a Gogatsu Ningyō or May Doll. The katana represents strength, while the bow and arrow represent a straight path to success. Of course, both were also weapons carried by samurai.
The glass case has cut glass edges in a lacquered frame and the overall quality is impeccable.
