To put the branches of Bonsai into a desired shape or position, we use aluminum -or copper wire. This wire is available in various thicknesses. Thin wire is used for thin branches and thick wire for thick or stiff branches. The wire is removed again when the branch finally remains in the desired position. Which wire can use the best depends on the kind of tree, and the thickness of the branches. In many textbooks is what kind of thread and / or thickness can be used best.
